Privacy Mode appearance and skins (Premium)

What Privacy Mode does
Privacy Mode replaces your multi-client calendar with a neutral, generic view during a screen share. By default it shows a plain, unbranded calendar: a generic "Calendar" heading, neutral colors, no product logos, and a generic browser tab title. Anyone glancing at your screen sees a plain calendar, not a color-coded view full of other clients' meeting titles.
Underneath, nothing changes. Your merged calendars, conflict detection, and busy blocking keep working exactly as before. Everything stays local in your browser. The point is confidentiality: keeping one client's details off the screen while you share it with another.
The generic view is the default and it is free to use in Privacy Mode. The optional appearance skins covered below are a Premium feature.
Step 1: Open Privacy Mode settings
Click the manyCalendars icon in your browser toolbar, then click the settings gear in the top right. Scroll to the Privacy Mode section.
You can also reach the same panel from the eye icon in the calendar toolbar. Both routes land in the same place.
Step 2: Turn Privacy Mode on
You have three ways to turn it on:
- Press
Ctrl+Shift+S(Cmd+Shift+Son Mac) - Click the eye icon in the calendar toolbar
- Flip the toggle in Settings → Privacy Mode
It applies instantly. The generic view takes over, the tab title changes to a plain "Calendar", and any meeting notifications that fire while Privacy Mode is on render in the neutral style. The same shortcut turns it back off.
Optional: appearance skins
If you prefer a different look for your own screen, Privacy Mode includes optional appearance skins you can turn on from Settings. These are never the default. The neutral generic view stays the standard experience, and you have to opt in to any other look.
To choose one, open Settings → Privacy Mode and pick an appearance. Skins you have not unlocked show a lock badge. Your choice is remembered, and the switch is instant even while Privacy Mode is already on.
Tip: Turn Privacy Mode on before the meeting starts, not mid-share. The only sign that it is active is a thin pink strip at the very top edge of the window, there so you always know it is on.
Also remember: Privacy Mode changes the app's appearance, not your data. If there are calendars you do not want visible during a share, toggle them off in the sidebar first.
Unlocking appearance skins
The optional appearance skins are included with Premium, alongside cross-calendar conflict detection, auto-busy blocking, share-availability, and everything in Pro. The generic default view does not require Premium.
