Quick Tip: Using Work Week Configuration for 4-Day Weeks
Posted: October 4, 2026 · 1 min read
Stop offering Fridays (or whatever day you do not work)
If you work a 4-day week, a compressed schedule, or any non-standard arrangement, your availability export should reflect that. By default, manyCalendars assumes a Monday-through-Friday work week. If Friday is your day off, the availability export will still show Friday slots as open. That means people will book meetings on a day you are not working, and you will spend time explaining why you cannot make it.
Fix this in manyCalendars's settings. Open the work week configuration and deselect the days you do not work. Your calendar view will adjust to show only your working days, and the availability export will only include slots on those days.
This also works for non-standard hours
The same settings let you adjust your working hours per day. If you work 7 AM to 3 PM instead of the typical 9 to 5, set that in manyCalendars and your availability will reflect your actual hours. No more 4 PM meeting offers when you have been offline for an hour.
Small configuration change, big reduction in scheduling friction. Your boundaries deserve to be enforced by your tools, not just your willpower. Set yours up in manyCalendars and reclaim your day off for good.
