Quick Tip: What to Do When a Synced Calendar Shows Stale Data

Stale events? The fix is usually a refresh.
If events in manyCalendars look outdated (a meeting that was rescheduled still shows the old time, or a cancelled event is still appearing), the most common cause is cached content in the source tab. Your browser may be showing a stale version of the calendar page.
For tab-synced calendars: go to the source calendar tab and do a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). Wait for the calendar to fully reload with current data. Then return to manyCalendars and trigger a refresh. The updated events should appear immediately.
ICS feeds have a different lag
For ICS feeds: remember that these are server-side exports that update on the provider's schedule, not yours. Google Calendar ICS feeds can lag by several hours. Outlook feeds vary by tenant configuration. If you need real-time accuracy for a specific calendar, Tab Sync will always be more current than an ICS feed.
When in doubt, open the source calendar directly and check. manyCalendars is your unified view, but the source of truth is always the original calendar. A quick cross-reference takes 10 seconds and eliminates any ambiguity.
Calendars showing stale data is fixable. Missing your 2 PM because you trusted stale data is not. Thirty seconds of tab-refreshing beats thirty minutes of apology emails. Get manyCalendars here and keep your data fresh.
