Tutorial: Setting Up World Clocks for Your Key Client Locations

Adding world clocks in manyCalendars
World clocks let you see the current time in your clients' locations without leaving your calendar. To add one, open manyCalendars and click the clock icon in the top bar. Select "Add World Clock" from the dropdown. Start typing a city name or timezone abbreviation (like "London," "PST," or "Tokyo") and select the match from the list.
Your new clock appears immediately in the top bar alongside your local time. You can add as many clocks as you need. Most users find three to four covers all their active clients. If you need to remove one later, hover over the clock and click the X that appears.
Using world clocks during scheduling
The real value shows up when someone proposes a meeting time. Before you accept, glance at the world clocks. If your client in London proposes "3 PM," your clocks instantly show you what that means in your local time and in the time zones of anyone else who might be affected.
This is especially useful when you are proposing times yourself. Instead of opening a separate converter tab, you can look at the clocks, find a time that works across zones, and send it with confidence. The clocks update in real time, so they always reflect the current offset, including daylight saving time changes.
Available timezone options
manyCalendars supports the full IANA timezone database, which means every major city and timezone abbreviation is available. You can search by city name (New York, Mumbai, Sydney), by region (US/Eastern, Europe/Berlin, Asia/Tokyo), or by abbreviation (EST, GMT, IST). The search is fuzzy, so partial matches work. Typing "Chi" will show both Chicago and Chisinau.
One thing to note: manyCalendars automatically adjusts for daylight saving time based on the timezone's rules. So if you add "US/Eastern," it will show EDT during summer months and EST during winter months. No manual switching required.
Time zones should not be a source of scheduling anxiety. They should be a line of text in your toolbar that you glance at before clicking "accept." Install manyCalendars and turn timezone math into timezone glancing. Your international clients will wonder how you suddenly got so good at proposing reasonable meeting times.
